My farm is truly blessed © Kathy Ralph 2011 This is the buzz word on everyone's lips. It's now early 2007 and no relief in sight. Water is scarce, the ground is dry, there's no rain in sight. What can we do about it? Wait, pray and do rain dances... That's all. Grass If only I could have some grass, not so much to ask, you'd think, My grass it's all gone brown again, and the dam's gone on the blink. The drought it's never ending, it just goes on and on, The hose is banned and the buckets out, no rain just only sun. Wind blown dust and dirt, forever invades the house, For goodness sakes almighty, can't you keep the damn snakes out? I suppose that they are thirsty, just like every one, But bloody hell my grass is brown, the lawns have not been done. What about the neighbours, they'll all think I'm slack, For I don't have a garden, or veggies out the back. The flowers are dead, the trees are brown, the loo has long run dry, I can't put any water in, no matter how I try. My lips are parched, my hair is dry, my wrinkles all come out, But all in all I s'pose its right, 'cos I can blame the drought. Where's the grass? The Drought
