My farm is truly blessed

Let's Just Settle For The Night
Oh God I can't! Its 9 pm, I forgot with all
this chit chat that the Possum waits. Run
to the fridge, get some apple and maybe
bread, a nectarine or two that he can take
to bed! He's nocturnal so I can only try to
get pictures at night. That's a big ask!
It is so hard to get a photo of him. When
he visits it's completely dark outside.
Never mind, here are some I have
managed to get.
My Baby Possum
I have a baby possum,
That visits every night,
It's very hard to snap him,
'Cos there's hardly any light.
His eyes, they shine so brightly,
When I fill his dinner plate,
He climbs so careful, down the tree,
Where he feasts on fruit, 'til late.
In the morning when I rise,
I look up in his tree,
I hope that I will find him,
But I never do, you see.
I wonder where he's sleeping,
Each and every day,
I wish he'd put his wee nose out,
So he and I could play.
I think that he is watching me,
Of this I'm just so certain,
Because some times I'm sure I see,
His shadow on my curtain.
He hangs by his strong tail from the branch
above the bird feeders and picks up his
food in his little paws. At any sign of me
approaching too closely he lithely scampers
up the tree to the highest branches.
Each evening I am getting closer to him and
one day I hope to be able to get some really
good photos to share with you. I am hoping
that these photos, as poor as they, are will
stir in you the feelings of wonderment that
they stir in me when I watch him each
night. How did he find me?
