My farm is truly blessed © Kathy Ralph 2011 I live in an outer region of Brisbane - Logan Village. All the wildlife in this book is Native to this area. It has now been almost eight years since I moved here from suburbia. It feels like eight minutes, but, like they say, "Time flies when you're having fun." Malcolm McLean was my brother in law and my sister Bev's husband. Bev still lives in Tauranga New Zealand. Malcolm was probably the most amazing, gentle, caring and honest person I have ever had the privilege of meeting. Malcolm had intended to travel to Australia to visit my little farm. For one reason or another that was not to happen. Then he became very ill. He told me that he still really wanted to visit me here in Brisbane Australia. It was not to be. I am dedicating this little book to his memory. These few pages should illustrate to you just how many critters we have waiting to make friends with you; so come on; hop on over and have a look at us strutting our stuff. Preparing this has given me a real insight into how blessed I truly am to be given the opportunity of watching, and experiencing first hand, nature at her finest. For those of you who have known me, you may find it hard to believe I feed… and what is worse, actually touch feathered creatures, for you all know the terrible fear I once had of them. Well my dear friends, I have overcome that crippling fear and have learnt we can overcome anything if we really set our minds to it. So this is what they meant when they said "Stop and smell the roses." Introduction All the photos were taken with my little Olympus C765U2 Camera.
