My farm is truly blessed © Kathy Ralph 2011 Pied Currawong When this chap came to visit, I at first thought he was a Magpie but not so. His body is completely black, with a white tip on the tail, a white tip on his wings and he has a white rump. His eyes are a penetrating yellow. He really is a stunning looking character. At first, he was very shy, and I spent weeks attempting to get close enough to photograph him. Now he flies in morning and night, and although he is still a little timid, he's becoming more courageous each day. At least I have managed to get a picture for you. I always know when he's about, as his song is most melodic. I find it very hard to believe that I have become a stalker of birds! But I truly love it, I find them completely fascinating.
