My farm is truly blessed

This little fellow arrived just as we were
in the final stages of editing. I had never
seen one of his kind before, and had to
scurry off to my reference book to find out
who he was.
He is quite small, and his body appeared
to be black at first but in the light he
revealed his stunning iridescent green. He
has a red eye and has faint white spots on
his breast. He is also referred to as Fishtail
and luckily I was able to snap a shot of his
tail for you.
We really can learn a lesson from the
amazing variety of birds that bless us
with their presents (no it's not a spelling
mistake). Their breeds are many, but
they live together in nature, as intended,
in peace and harmony. Sure, they
occasionally have their differences
but they do not kill, attack or maim
another purely because of the colour
of their feathers.
In my garden live the United Nations of
the animal world, the cats ignore their
natural instincts to kill because they are
not hungry, and so within my garden on
any one day Kookaburras, Miner Birds,
Magpies, Lorikeets, Wild Doves, Butcher
Birds, Ducks, Chickens, Cockatoos, Blue
Faced Honey Eaters, Pale Headed Rosellas
all share in natures bounty and live their
little lives as they were intended to do.
